listening to: jerry cantrell - castaway - from degredation trip

i get here to work this morning and find that both jessica and jason had already posted. in fact, jason posted using a new tool that makes the whole posting process much easier....that is, if you always have a connection to the internet. i suppose it would be easy enough without that direct connection, too, since you can save entries for later publishing. anyway, he linked it on his page. i read it, downloaded, installed it, and now i'm using it. and it seems pretty cool. what is this "it?" it's called w.bloggar and it's a standalone program that has all of the blogging tools ready to be used. type it in, post, done. that's all...no logging in to the website or anything, it does it all for you....i may start using this much, much more.

so i'm browsing the news this morning and slashdot looked to have some pretty interesting things. one such article is about the oldest known planet being discovered...being a space nerd, i thought that was pretty interesting. the other article caters to my techno-nerd side. it is just an observation of why "quick and dirty" development, while frowned upon, ends up being the money-making solution a lot of times. hmm, sounds kinda like my thesis topic (spiral model for web development - not interesting).

anyway, jessica showed me a pretty funny page focusing on the threat levels of terror and it reminded me of another wonderful government sactioned idea. needless to say, i thought it was damn funny. penny arcade's post was decent today, but the comic was pretty nice. i just wonder what brought that on. anyway, i think i'm going to check out some video game news and then see if i can change my address at so i can start receiving EGM at my house.

just a minute...the power cut off here at the office and there's huge amounts of rain and thunder happening just outside. good thing i'm on laptops or i would be pretty pissed. kinda sucks, though, because this morning was nice...hot, but nice. ok, now i'm out of here.
