- there's bees in the machine! -

[Listening to: Burn (acoustic) - Mad at Gravity - (4:18)]

yesterday i was at work talking with chuck about the virtues of the dreamcast and it got me reinterested in that star-crossed system. well, i checked out one of the old homebrew sites i used to visit and it seems that they've been busy. they've ported games like wolfenstein, doom, hexen, heretic, and rise of the triad to the dreamcast...those were classic pc games (classic being middle school era for me). i'll definitely have to check them out when i'm at home.

behind me, a conversation is in progress regarding putting bees into a desktop machine. well, there's a whole lot more to the story than that, but i don't remember the details. i do know, however, that i was wanting to mention "covered in bees," but no one here would have understood. the imagery i have in my head is quite comical to say the least.

well, i've been working once again on redesigns for products/sites here at work. it's pretty easy and not difficult at all, but i run out of new ideas rather quickly and then i have to think more up. anyway, the net has been fairly uninteresting for today, but i'm not that affected by it. i just need to get back to listening to my tunes; at least they seem to make the time/mundane work pass by fast enough. i don't want to be doing this stuff, though. i'd rather be at my house reading speaker for the dead or over at jessica's either watching x-files or playing games (the latter would especially be nice). instead, i have to make my devil's money, but that devil's money allows me to buy nice things like games, movies, shirts, etc.

earlier, zack mentioned that he was going to bring his nes + games to work one day so that i could take it over for a while and play some old-school games. i can't wait...it should be after this weekend. he was listing off the games he could remember having and they're all classics: zelda, metroid, and wizards & warriors to say the least. anyway, like i said, today's been rather slow. i'm out.
