went to shannon and paul's last night and hung out for a while. i had a pretty good time even though i nerded out and kept talking about computers and shit. by the way, before i forget about it, i wanted to talk about this app that i got yesterday. thanks to the guys at good ol' penny arcade, i now know the wonders of avant browser. you see, sometime during my last year in college i got fed up with all the popup ads that IE was not stopping. i searched for a solution and found that mozilla has built-in pop-up stopping as well as quite a few other nifty treats. well, mozilla was too bloated for me but i fortunately found a build (side-project) devoted to making a lighter mozilla. that project was phoenix, now known as firebird, and it's my browser of choice. however, firebird does not display all web sites the way they're intended to be (this site included), so i needed to use IE anyway. as it turns out, avant browser is a container program for IE that makes it act like all the other cool browsers around. it has built-in pop-up stopping, tabbed browsing, and a plethora of other helpful goodies. you should check it out...it's nice (and free).

last night, for some reason, i was thinking about a cereal from my childhood days. that cereal is the Pac-Man Cereal...it had power pellets that were just like kix and the characters were the standard-fare marshmallows (think lucky charms). i don't know why i was thinking about it last night, but i used to love that cereal. it was one of those great cereals that nobody bought....just like E.T. cereal and the ill-fated nintendo or teenage mutant ninja turtles cereals. hm, i can't believe i just found an article on the pac-man cereal (same link as above). ha, there's one on the tmnt cereal, too.

i have to check and see if i have rehearsal tonight...i really do not feel like going, but since i skipped tues., i figure i need to go today if there is one. i'm so damn tired, too. i was up till 3 last night doing basically nothing in particular. i then get awakened by my mother at 7:30 this morning. oh well, that means i should sleep damn well tonight. anyway, i'm out for now.
