yet another wednesday before i realized it. this one seems to be pretty good, so far. my gamefly games should be coming in this week...they shipped yesterday and take "2-4 business days" to arrive. first 2 games to play are time splitters 2 (first/third-person shooter) and wario world, both for the gamecube. i probably should mix the list up a bit because all the games will be coming in the order i selected them, which was pretty linear.
anyway, i'm working out this evening and then going to jessica's for some relaxing along with some games (hopefully). jessica seems to be adjusting to the insulin pump she got, but they're making her not eat after 6 last night and tonight to see how her sugar does without eating. we've been having some good harry potter games the last couple of nights....not unbalanced or anything. i played some more f-zero, but i still haven't gotten completely into it because it keeps telling me that i need more free slots on the memory card. maybe i'll get another one of these evenings.
i saw an ad for a new movie starring jack black and it looks damn funny. i think it's going to be out in early october, so i'll definitely be seeing that. the trailer made me laugh, so i think that'll be a good inclination as to how funny the actual film is. x-play had some good things on last night. first, they did a segment on great games that weren't played. they spotlighted 3 games, 2 of which i own. Ico (ps2) and Eternal Darkness (gc) were the 2 they mentioned and i agree...they are both excellent. Ico is extremely pretty...probably one of the best looking games for any of the systems. Eternal Darkness had a nice bit of innovation in it: the sanity meter. also working to its advantage was the story and general creepiness of the game. another segment of x-play was morgan's trip to fanime con. she was looking to see the relationship between games and anime. she found her answer, of course, but i want to mention how much attention the Lunar games got. there were two people interviewed that were dressed as alex and luna from, according to them, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (though i know it as TSS, the Silver Star, from the Sega CD. anyway, clips of the game were shown and i was happy it was getting some recognition.
this weekend may include a trip to the movies because underworld is coming out. i just hope it's good. out.
