i mentioned a little while back that nintendo was dropping the price of the gamecube...well, the results are easy to see. in an article over at gamesarefun, it is mentioned that nintendo's hardware sales have increased 400%. either way you look at it (they were selling a lot and now more OR they weren't selling any, but now they are...the former is more believable), it's good news for nintendo.
ok, so the paragraph above this one was saved last week and i never got a chance to finish it up and post it, so i'll do that here. let's see...what's happened. hmm. well, i've been working on a poster for work (i'm on the website now, too) and it's turning out pretty sweet. only a few things left for it. i also got my insurance info and some cool work-related accessories , so it was like christmas.
this weekend was pretty nice. quite a bit of hanging out. saturday we went to shannon and paul's for dinner and it was tasty. friday night was jessica and i staying in and having a good time looking through boxes she'd packed away. yesterday was riding around with robbie, damn cool, and heading to shad's to hang for a while. good times aplenty. speaking of, there's a new "site" i've put up that should be getting content soon. more details will be provided later.
that brings me to today. not too much news, but there was one noteworthy item: eddie izzard has been tapped to be the new dr. who. everything about this announcement sounds badass. if this is going to be in bbc (i didn't read the article completely...i'm too lazy) then i will be watching it every chance i get.
oh yeah, i can't remember if i mentioned animalympics on here before, but it was a cartoon that came out in 1979 or around then and is a spoof on the olympics. the spoof is that all humans are now different types of animals. it was a great movie, though, with all sorts of big-name stars from the time. there was also a kickass soundtrack and i finally found it, so i've been listening to it for quite a bit. all it serves is nostalgia, though, and not any actual good music. surprising to me, however, is the fact that i still know most of the words and all of the melodies.
so, i guess that's all for today...maybe a post tomorrow, maybe not. hold your breath and find out.
