- training day, but with no denzel -
Filed - Video Games

well, i'm currently in a training class for work...learning the wonders of ESRI software. not too bad, tho.

i'm still tired, even after i went to bed early. i don't know what's going on...tho i did wake up at 630 for some reason. of course, i went back to sleep. anyway, i posted a little while back about how i thought the nokia n-gage was useless and a waste of money, space, advertising, and my time (for watching the advertising). to follow up on this thread, i'd like to talk about its sales during its launch week. the source of this, like all my other video game news, is gamesarefun. so, according to nokia, the crappy phone/handheld console sold well...selling out in some places, even. however, an independent researcher found that less than 5,000 units had sold during its first week. the phone/game is $300 and it's rivaling the fabled atari jaguar in bad sales. you know, i'm almost hoping that it fails so it can show the people who made it how bad an idea it really was.

last night on x-play, simpsons: hit and run was reviewed and it got 4 of 5...not bad at all. i played this game for a little while one day when shad rented it. it's similar to gta in that you can drive all over springfield and hit things and do pretty much whatever you want. the main focus are the missions to be solved, and they are somewhat similar, but not bad by any means. humor is another big part of this game. original voices and great referential comments or jokes about the show are much appreciated. it's a good game, but i thought it was a little repititious.

sweet...tonight's xplay has a preview of square's final fantasy: crystal chronicles for the cube...i can't miss that...out.
