james and i had a conversation a few days ago about the use of the word traverse. he stated that he hasn't used that word in a long time, if ever. instead, he resorts to the more common "travel." i, on the otherhand, said that it's been a while, but i have used traverse in common speech...repeatedly. he inquired how and what the context of my using traverse was and i plainly told him. you see, while at school i walked to class 90% of the days. whenever i'd leave my room, i would announce that i would traverse great outdoors (or something lame like that) to go to class. however, a better word presented itself.
in explaining my use of the word traverse to james, i seem to have created a new one: grassways. the sentence it appeared in is as follows: "i would traverse the walkways and the grassways to get to class." so, there you have it...a new way to say 'lawn' or 'meadow' or even something like a 'fairway' in golf. all are now viable outlets for the word grassway.
more jargon. in x2: xmen united, as well as the first movie, the character of cyclops really sucks. he's lame...a big pussy. in the comics cyclops originally started out as this nerdy, introverted type. he later evolved into a battle-hardened leader, but now he's just become a whiner. he's such a throwaway character and that's translated to the movie, but maybe the actor has a little to do with how much cyclops sucks. anyway, because he's so lame, any fan of his is, in turn, lame. therefore, any lame person (be it a pussy, whiner, bitch, etc.) is a "fan of cyclops." call them that.
i guess that will be it for now....if i think about it later, i'll post some more. out.
