you may notice that i changed the page here to show 2 posts instead of 1. i changed this for a couple of reasons, but the main one was if i post twice in a day, then you'll see both for that day...look at today, for example...this is my second post, but i wanted the other one to be displayed. you also get to see more posts per page, so less clicks if you're reading more than one entry.

anyway, i fixed up the movie page and i'm thinking about turning the links page into something similar...it sure makes it easier for updating...less code to type.

finally, the meat of this post concerns something i mentioned in the earlier post. i came across a website for a dj whose music i heard on shoutcast. the dj's name is dj goop and his website is here. he has a few songs on the site (they're pretty large, but really good) for download, but they're password protected. anyway, i was/am really interested in getting the music, so i emailed him saying how i liked the music and how i heard of him. i also asked if it was possible to get a cd or the password info. well, i heard back from him not too long ago and he said, "Hey Joel. Thanks for the kind words. I'll put the credentials below. I don't sell any of my stuff. I'm all about free music, and just sharing different stuff with different people. The guy who owns the server my site is served from (also my best friend), set the /mp3 directory up so that it prompted for a password. Seems like a bad idea in hindsight, but, I subsequently get to hear from folks that want to listen. So that's cool." sounds like a pretty cool guy, huh? that's why i wanted to relay this to everyone. check his site out. if you're interested in downloading his songs, email him and ask. i really like his stuff, so you can take my word that it's good. if not, then just go to a shoutcast page and find one of the Lounge Radio streams (downtempo genre). i won't give the password out to anyone because i don't know if he'd want that. still, though...go to his page and check his music. out.
