Ferris Bueller

Joel tends to have an agenda at the begining of his entries to explain what the post is going to be about. Perhaps it will help my writing if I do that as well so that I stay on track.
agenda: Morgan Webb being a beautiful person, our president being a wretchedly horrible person, and the existance of God.

Morgan Webb, the co-host of the show X-Play on Tech TV, which I am sure everyone knows about from reading multiple other postings on this site, was on a ballot with I think three or four other women from Tech TV on Playboy's website. The ballot was for the "sexiest" woman on Tech TV and the winner would get an offer from Playboy for a spread. Morgan won the vote, but the numbers were so close that Playboy decided to extend the offer to all of them. Now, those women are not the type, in my opinion, to pose for Playboy, but it would sell a lot of copies if they were.
Morgan is the subject of many lude comments from the viewing public of Tech TV I am sure. Yes, i think she is very sexy, but beneath her beautiful physique there is an innocence about her that I like a lot and that is what attracts me to her as a woman. She is smart and headstrong. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. Not a lot of people are that lucky. I consider myself one of those lucky few. i knew at a relatively young age what I wanted to do and how I wanted to get there. ( side note: Now, there is a big difference between knowing what you want and how you want to get there and actually obtaining what you want and the methods that have to adapt to the little circumstances life likes to throw your way in order to get it.) Relatively speaking, I am right on track in my life, but I digress... The main point is that I respect Morgan as a person, and I think that if we were to ever meet, we would have a lot in common, gaming aside, even though games are a big part of her life/career.

Our President. I saw on CNN (how that station is for being a respectable place to get news from is still up for debate with me) Bush's new campaign commercial. A little background before I go on: September 11, 2001. Anyone who was able to comprehend what was going on at that time will remember that day for the rest of their lives. I know I will, but I have a beef with it. Yes it was horrible and tragic, and every other word you can find in a thesaurus under those headings, but lest we forget the atrocities of Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, the holocaust. Yes the attacks on September 11th were bad, but other things were equally if not more horrible. After 9-11 it seems that all other atrocities were forgotten. If it happened more than 25 years ago, what's the point in remembering, right? Wrong. History, if no one has been paying attention in their world civilization classes, is starting to repeat itself because we are being a bunch of dumb asses. ok, rant over, back to my point: Bush is using images from the 9-11 atrocity to try and get re-elected. I didn't get to see the whole thing or hear what was said, but it seemed to me that it was a sort of "Look what I did to get us through this. Aren't I awesome. Vote for me." When in reality all he has caused (his dad is just as responsible as he is in my opinion) is more death and destruction in the aftermath of...well..death and destruction. Like he caused the coming together of Americans. He divided us when we needed to come together. Pro-war, anti-war. He rules over us with fear and secrets. Beaurocracy, anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Moving on....Joel and I are going to attend a lecture at the college tonight about the existence of God. I think it is going to be quite interesting. If i write a paper about it I get extra credit in my religion class, but seeing as I already have an A, i think i will just go and enjoy the lecture and not worry about taking notes or anything. I would like to post what i think about it later. Next month there is going to be a symposium on The Passion. I would like to participate in that as well, but I have to see the movie first. I am about typed out right now. So much for staying on track. I have to get to class in a few anyway, so until then, later.....
