I leave for my honeymoon tomorrow and I can't wait.
David Bowie is coming to New Orleans in April. I will be there. Oh yes, I will be there. If only he would sing "Dance Magic". No chance of that happening, though, is there?
Me: Hey, David. Do you mind reliving the 80's and putting on those tights and Prince shirt of yours and prancing around like a fairy to sing a song from a Jim Henson movie?
David: No problem at all. Let me just go and get my wig and tights and I will be on stage to sing it for you.
Me: Oh, yeah, while you're back there, could you travel back in time so that you would be about 20 years younger and make sweet sweet love to me and my friend Shannon here. Don't mind our husbands, they will understand.
David: Sure, i will get my best physicists working on that traveling back in time problem right away and I will get back to you.
If only it were that easy.
I am excited. I am estatic. I have been smiling for the last two weeks. (give or take a mood or two)
I think everyone should be happy no matter what. At least try it on for size. No more teen/twentysomething angst. Leave that to the fanfic.
My thoughts:
-Gays should be able to get married. Why? Because I don't think that anything could soil the institution of marriage more than the Twentieth Century Fox Corporation. Let two people who truly love each other get married, no questions asked.
-Bush is an idiot. (What's new?)
-I don't like anyone who is running for political office right now. Jeesey Chreesey. At least give me a choice of puppets. (cough:beaurocracy!)
-With all the protests that are going on (locally for me with the USM controversy and around the world) don't undermine the group that opposes what you believe in. You are protesting and they are protesting and both sides have the right to be heard. If you berate them then you are denying them their right to free speech, and dammit, that is one of the only things we have left to do anything with. Careful or they will take it away from us. Ask Larry Flynt, he knows.
That is all. Have a good week and see you guys on the flip side. Later....
