News Flash

As it is Saturday morning at the library I have been surfing around trying to kill time and find interesting things. I have been going to Fark lately and it is usually a really good source for news and information of all kinds. For instance I found this story on Movieoke. It's like karaoke, but with movies. I think that it is a good idea. I don't know where or how we would do it, but it would be cool to have something like that go on around here, especially with the large theater community that is around. I think it could be fun and interesting.
This story was kind of scary, but at the same time funny. A guy goes into a police box in Japan with a live wartime bomb. Officials say "It's extremely dangerous for people who have no idea about explosives to hang around near bombs." I don't even think i need to put a "duh" there.
This poor woman was just trying to cook some fish sticks and she got shot in the leg! Someone had hidden a gun in her oven so when she was heating it to cook the fish sticks it went off and shot her in the leg. Strange.
Hehe. Dinosaur ass print. No lie. These paleontologists found an imprint of a dinosaur's ass in Utah. The have no idea what prompted the dinosaur to sit down, but they find it rather interesting, as do i.
This is kind of messed up. This family's house was raided for pot just beacuse their electric bill was high and they put their trash out at the last minute. No lie. It's an interesting point on behalf of the police department, but I don't think any of those things would give them probable cause....well, the article did say that the drug dog showed interest in the house when they did a walk by, and that gives probable cause (thank you CJ classes), but that dog could have picked up something that was on the bottom of someone's shoe who walked by the house.
This is way cool. Japan releases giant robot. this robot weighs about 5 tons, and it looks cool. Terminator style.
Ok. thats about it for me. Later all...
