Kurt Vonnegut is my hero. This is an article that he wrote for a site called In These Times. It sums up everything that I have been thinking about what has been going on for the last four years. We let America become what is should never be. We are power hungry apes and we will cause our own painful demise. Vonnegut had a dream in his youth, a dream that he has wrote about many times over in his books, most prominently in Slapstick or Lonely No More, it is a dream of utopia. An America that is reasonable and humane. He thought that we could possibly achieve that dream, but it has been crushed by power. I think you should read this article. Kurt Vonnegut, you are awesome.

Thanks--I'm making a top ten list of things you shouldn't say to a pregnant woman. I think you just topped it.
Sorry. You are just so negative. I stopped reading your diary on a regular basis because all you do is bitch and moan on it. If I read your diary when i was having a good day it made me feel like shit. Even if I wasn't having a good day it made me feel crappy. If you aren't happy about something you can do something about it. That's all i'm trying to say. You don't like your job? Quit. I had a job that was sucking my soul and I quit and found another one. You don't like certain people? Stay away from them. Let them know you don't like being around them and don't waste your time. I have found that life is too short and there is too much o be happy about to bitch and moan and be miserable all the time, which it seems you are. If you can't seem to get a hold of happiness yourself, they have medication for that, too.
