edgamacation

That's it for me and my undergraduate career. Over. Done. Do I feel any different than I did when I entered into the experience? Of course I do. I came out smarter, better, we can rebuild her, we have the technology (nanananananana). This semester was a challenge, however, in the professor and myself getting along department. Yeah, I hated him as a instructor. One on one I have no problem with him, but put him in the classroom with me and watch me yell at him. His final was a travesty. A horrible, horrible travesty. Let's just say I was extremely pissed off by the time I read through the test and I answered what I could and then threw the test at him with great fury. It was uncalled for. When everyone in the class says "What the FUCK was that?!?" after taking your exam, there is a problem. He did not prepare us at all for the exam. I'm not talking about "we didn't get a review." No, I do not believe that, when in college, especially in an English class, that you necessarily need a review. The instructor should engage the students in discussion of the material that is beneficial to the student. Well, he actually gave us a little review (told us vaguely what was going to be on the exam) and none of it was on there. It was comprehensive, but we have had no other tests in there what so ever to: A. balance it out, and: B. give us an idea of what was to come. No, he just threw 128 terms, 47 authors with their 82 works that we read at us and said "have fun".
Anyway...
I am looking for a real job now. A few friends of mine from school are talking about grad school and I think we are going to go together. No, not at USM, but at USA. Perhaps next spring I will be in the MFA program over there. It all really depends on if and when I get a job. If i can get a nice gig writing somewhere, then cool, if not, then to grad school i go. Nothing else to do, really. I am not going to sit at a job I hate for 20 years, I can tell you that, my friend. I have put in applications anywhere that wants a writer: technical or journalism. I hopefully will hear back from the local newspaper soon, I put in for a writer position there. Send good karma, light a candle, sacrifice small animals and children for me.
Anticlimatic, isn't it?
