Entries are sporadic and mediocre at best.
My horrible fate in my Brit Lit class was averted. How? I am not sure, I think Dr. W had something to do with it, that and I am a trouble maker and everyone knows it, but I did walk away with a B. Nice. That's all I wanted. So I officially have my education. I am trying to get my reading appetite back up to speed. I think back and remember reading 18 books one semester and think I should be downing them like stuff you eat really fast...uhh...potato chips maybe? So I picked up Good Omens to re-read. I couldn't get into it. Apparently it is a read once book. I picked up Survivor and read a bit into it, found it interesting and will probably read it more. I picked up You Shall Know Our Velocity while on a B&N trip with my sister-in-law and haven't stopped reading it. I don't know what it is about it. Actually I am finding that I don't like the book that much. It, so far, has gone like this: awesome paragraph, shitty dialogue that takes away from the previous paragraph, awesome paragraph again, shitty paragraph that has nothing to do with anything. The good paragraphs (and they are excellent. perfect illustration of why he was damn close to getting the pulitzer) are keeping me going, but the shitty ones are quite distracting.
The job hunt continues. Nothing yet from the paper, nothing yet from anyone. Bummer.
Robot Chicken is my new favorite show. Just thought you should know.
Poetry reading at Da Beach House in Bay St. Louis May 26th at 7pm. I will be there and you should, too.
I should have a page up soon to hold my writing. I am going to work on stuff over the summer, so keep an eye out for that. Tell your friends.
I think that's about it. What'd I tell you. Mediocre.
