the smell of rain

Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria!

If I could actually give a shit about anything right now, perhaps I would be:
1. writing more
or
2. violently hunting for a job.

I am job hunting, but there isn't much around that I can do or that I want to do.
What else can I do but look online at a few job banks and in the classified section of the newspaper? This isn't the type of employment search when you walk around to various businesses and ask "Are you hiring?" This is passed summer hiring stuff, this is the real world, and currently it hates me. So I've got that going for me.

Things I have going on that are positive:

starting a online literary 'zine for USM
starting a literary 'zine of my own
reviewing for documentary films website
my husband
my cats
some of my friends

The first three things have not left the ground yet. I hope to get a review up in the next week or so and I will let all two people who read this thing know. The literary zine for USM is in the process of getting put together. It is a slow painful process, but is moving along. As for mine, well I have to get it designed first and that is up to my husband.

I just had to explain the numerical order of Star Wars to a Patron. They were utterly confused. How hard is it? The order goes 4,5,6,1,2,3. It didn't make much sense to them. Why make the last three and then twenty-five years later make the first three?
Why is George Lucas so rich?
Exactly.

Oh, the word of the day is petrichor.
I learned it and you should, too.
