So the election is coming up. I have watched all the debates and can clearly see that our President is a dumbass and so is the rest of america that believes him. They tried to spin his being a dumbass into him relating to the american people b/c we sound like him. The media is implying that we are a bunch of dumbasses. Cheney is...well, just look at him. We need a change and I am glad to see the democratic nominee step up to that call. The democrats have been labled as pussies for waaaay too long. The things that I am worried about are health care, the shrinking middle class and the growing of the upper and lower classes, our fourth amendment being raped and left for dead, and our country going corporate instead of democratic. These things are happening and will continue to happen if that beady-eyed bastard takes another four years from us. He has lied to us and is continuing to lie to us. I understand that being a politician implies lying, but damn.
Check it: Osama is closer than ever to being captured. Now that the election is drawing nearer I am just waiting for the announcement of his killing or capture to be made. However, now that the media has gone all over it and pretty much said he would be captured in October just in time for the elections it isn't going to happen b/c it would be too obvious.
I have a little conspiracy guy in my head and you know what he whispers to me in dark parking garages? He says that Osama isn't a real person. He is some made up character that we are blaming for a tragedy that our own government orchestrated in order to jump the gun and go into the middle east and get the oil that was there because he who controls the oil controls the world. it is sort of like the spice in Dune. The United Stated is the Guild and they have a monopoly on it and can charge whatever they want for it and you have to pay it b/c what are your options? The people in the middle east are the fremen and they are fighting because spice or no spice, oil or no oil, we are on their land and it is sacred to them and we are killing thier children. Have you ever read Dune? You should, it would give you a pretty good insight as to what is going on right now. I would liken Baron Harkonnen with President Bush. Harkonnen did some fucked up shit to control Dune and thus control the spice. Just think about it when you go and vote on November 2nd.

Things that have been awesome this week: I found out yesterday that I only need three more classes to graduate and yes, I will be graduating in May as planned. I called the mortgage place today and they told me that we have been pre-approved. House hunting for us!
Things that have sucked this week: I as a studen of USM am no longer considered a student. We are now customers. There is a new department at the university and it is called "The Department of Customer Services". My understanding of this new department is that they are the liason between the "customers" here on the coast and the administration in hattiesburg. The administration in their infinite wisdom, said that in order to expand the enrollment at the college they would increase the number of online classes. Now, here comes the logic, people, this in turn would lower the number of actual live bodies on the campus. This is a true statement but the administration is saying it is false. I heard it from two sources within the faculty of the school. One of my professors made the comment of what was happening and the chair of the department of customer service came into our class to despell the rumour. #1 she didn't tell our class and #2 she can say things like that if she wants to, she is a professor. Let me just tell you a little about her. She got her PHD from Columbia University and studied underneath Edward Said, the inventor of post colonial literature. She is the nicest woman you would ever meet and she is brilliant and creative. Because of the bull shit they are doing to her b/c she told the truth to her class she is resigning. Now, if you didn't notice before, i mentioned she had a PHD from COLUMBIA. She could work anywhere she wanted to, but she grew up down here (Ocean Springs) and wanted to give back to her community. My buddy and i decided that we don't want these guys in polyester suits to represent us and that we, as the students, should represent ourselves. We are going to fight this stupid institution. You know there are now 25 members of this department of customer service and the administration couldn't fill instructor positions for 40 classes? Bastards. I hate that school. It isn't even a good school, it is a 4th tier school and it has a turnover rate higher than most resteraunts. Oh I have much more to talk about, but it will have to wait for now...
